Common questions
How do I save a recipe?
In the app, open Recipes and tap Add a Recipe. You can paste a link from a recipe website or a supported social platform, or enter a recipe yourself. SofaCart reads the page and saves the ingredients and steps.
Why is an item missing from my shopping list?
SofaCart skips ingredients it believes you already have. Open Pantry to see what is being tracked, and mark an item Out or Running Low if it should come back onto your list. You can also add any skipped item back from the list itself.
How does SofaCart know what is in my pantry?
Your pantry updates when you confirm a shop, scan a receipt, or tell SofaCart you cooked something. You can always add, edit, or remove pantry items by hand on the Pantry tab.
Does SofaCart place my grocery order?
No. SofaCart prepares a cart for you to review, and you complete checkout directly with the retailer. SofaCart never places or pays for an order on your behalf.
How do I manage or cancel SofaCart+?
If you subscribed in the iPhone app, manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). If you subscribed on Google Play, use Play’s subscription settings. If you subscribed on the web, email us and we will help.
How do I reset my password?
Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen and follow the emailed link. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact us.
How do I delete my account?
Follow the steps at sofacart.app/delete-account, or email contact@sofacart.app from the address on your account.
Report a problem
For bugs, a wrong product match, a recipe that failed to import, or anything else that looks wrong, email contact@sofacart.app. A screenshot and the recipe or store link involved are very helpful.
